In 1936 Max and Horst meet at the concentration camp Dachau, where queer people/homosexuals are being forced to wear the “Rosa Winkel”. Max attempts to disguise himself as a jew/as jewish to avoid more inhumane torture. A love story unfolds that has to stay hidden. How can feelings find their voice when humanity and moral values have no meaning anymore?
Martin Shermans theatre piece first shown in 1979, has put emphasis in the public eye on the persecution of queer people/homosexuals in the Third Reich.
